I have one of each size, I only purchased cause I could see a need some day. Definitely one of those what the heck moments. But I'll be damned, it's not a bad design and I've used both the 1/4 n 3/8 on several occasions. There's some Yahoo on here selling a 1/2" ratchet for $45 that I have no doubt he picked up on woot for 25, it kind of pisses me off every time he bumps his for sale thread.

Astro Pneumatic has been good to me also !!! I've been really impressed with their stuff.

I've purchased several of their offerings lately and I got to admit it ain't bad stuff at all. For the value it's actually very impressive.

Matter of fact, these ratchets will take a bit of torque and not lock up on you and those 10" needle nose pliers (two) and side cutters they sell on woot for I think 15 or 25 bucks are very nice. You know how with cheap needle nose if you twist them they'll spread real easy for POS units. Recently I had to use mine in a manor that I thought would for sure ruin them installing a emergency brake cable and I'll be damned if everything went good with no post problems.

I haven't used their sockets yet, but am half tempted too just to find out if they're any good.

I have both a 1/4" and a 3/8" air ratchets from JACKCO Transnational that have wobble stems (or whatever you call the thing the socket attaches to). Never have used them but I got them for a good price and they looked cool which for me is normally enough to trigger by buy, buy, buy button. Yea, I watch Cramer.

i'm sort of curious how you stumbled across a thread from 6 years ago?
