LED Work Lights: Husky vs Smart Electrician

So I went to Menards today for their 11% off sale and while I was there I decided to check out their work lights. Lately I have been looking for a second
work light to use alongside the Husky 800 lumen work light I picked up last year. I had been looking high and low for a compact and bright work light that compared to the Husky in size, brightness, and price, and it turns out I should have been looking for one at Menards long ago.

While I was there I discovered the 1000 lumen version of the Smart Electrican work lights that they carry. I was immediately impressed with its size and brightness, plus the price was even lower than the Husky light that I have. With the 11% off it's just over $30 and is definitely what I was looking for. :rocker:

Here it is with the HF 9" aluminum level for comparison.

And next to the Husky light

When comparing the two the light output difference is negligible. They are both very bright for their size with the Husky putting out a slightly whiter light. For the size and price the Smart Electrician is very impressive.

how much heat do they throw, the real reason I put up with the cheap halogen lights is HEAT, my unheated garage or driveway are made bareable with the heat output of a halogen most of the year.
(of course for the other month and a half I'm gonna have to buy one of these, thanks a lot!)

They put off almost no heat. You can have the light on for hours and still touch the lens without getting burned.
