Hi, I found this place and thought I could use some ideas, share experiences and maybe help others along the way.

Tim: feel free to share more about yourself if you wish anytime because this is your thread. or just keep posting up cool pictures of your Mustang and other items you might own. i had a 67 fastback in 1975 and in 1977 i bought a 70 Mach 1 with a 428 in it with 36,000 miles for $3500. wishing i would have kept that 1970 Mach 1, but did have a little fun with it while i owned it.

cheers and welcome

Thanks for the welcomes. I am from northern New York originally and joined the Army at 17. I retired in El Paso, Texas in 1998. I got the Mustang in 1999 and worked on it chunks at a time. I haven't done too much to it lately. We bought a 5th wheel RV and have been just enjoying the weekends away once a month and I've been doing projects on the RV here and there.

Here is the 'Stang right after I got it:

Tim: it looks like you might have done all the work on your Mustang yourself or did you have somebody else paint and do some of the work? what size engine is in it the 289 or the bored out 302 or ??

Automatic i'm guessing or do you have one of the rare manual transmissions?

nicely done

Thanks, it did everything myself except the paint and the upholstery. The 289 was long gone and I guessing around the late 70's a smog era 302 was put in. I swapped in a 340 HP 5.0 Ford Racing crate motor with 600 Edelbrock carb & intake. Also swapped in an AOD in place of the C4.
