Have you been to ToolGuyd lately? No? tsk tsk. That's okay, here's some of what you missed.

New Craftsman plastic modular/stackable tool chest combo. It's a set of 3 chests and a rolling base, seemingly identical to Keter's elusive offering. List price is $130, but I'm almost certain it'll drop for Father's Day.

Channellock has jumped onto the slim adjustable wrench bandwagon with what they're calling exclusive made-for-them offerings. Available in 6" and 8" sizes, and made in Spain as with their other adjustables.

Craftsman is also coming out with new gimbal palm ratchets similar to Gearwrench's offerings. There are a bunch of other new Craftsman mechanics tools, but the gimbal ratchets aren't the least bit gimmicky. Well, they might look a little gimmicky, but I like Gearwrench's and would probably like Craftsman's too.

If you want more info, longer posts on each story are still on ToolGuyd's front page. I didn't want this post to be a linkfest.

Also, would you care to chime in about NWS vs. Knipex debate? http://toolguyd.com/knipex-or-nws-pliers/ A reader asked for my preference, I said NWS. Which would you prefer or recommend more?

Nice,.. except now I'm going to have to make a place in my box for one of those slim wrenches. :)

My preferred thin adjustable wrench is the TOP HT-200B with angled head.

The jaws have the least amount of play of any adjustable wrench I have used, including my Iregas.

Thanks to Monte, it looks like the same wrenches are also available under Irega branding. Not that it makes much of a difference here, as Irega wrenches are priced higher than Channellock's, at least from what I've seen.
