Proto 7626 13/16" socket, 5/8" drive

Hi,

New here...my first post.

Does anyone have any information or a catalog page about this socket I found recently.

It's a Proto #7626SS 13/16" square socket, in 5/8" drive.

Yes, 5/8" drive. I never heard of such a thing.

Most people either went to 3/4 inch or 1/2 inch drive. I've observed a few at flea markets.

Found a reference!

Seems the 5/8" drive stuff wasn't just custom/military.

Still wondering what the second "S" stamped on the socket means...

And why just one size of 4-point?
