Sub Panel grounding question

I am feeding a 60amp sub panel to a pool house about 75 feet from my house. I plan on feeding it with a 60amp breaker off my main house panel. Running 6/3 UF wire with a ground.

QUestion: Do I have to use the separate '2 ground rods' at the sub panel? If so, do I also connect the green ground wire coming from the main panel? Or do I ignore the ground coming from the main panel, and just ground my ground bar to the ground rods at the sub panel?

I know I cannot bond the neutral, that is not what I am asking.

Just want to know if it is recommended to both tie the ground from the main panel to my sub panel ground bar AND the ground rod (at the sub panel) to the ground bar?

Attached is a diagram I found that shows grounding the bar in the sub panel to both the main panel ground and the sub panel ground rods.

not only recommended, but required!

Once the sub panel is in a detached structure it requires the dedicated ground rods.

Ok thanks guys, I was told that having the ground bar grounded from 2 locations wasn't preferred.
So I do ground the sub with both the main panel ground and separate sub panel grounding rods.

All the grounds are bonded together via the ground wire.

At the service entrance only the neutral and ground are bonded together.

The ground wire from the 4 wire goes to the ground buss in the sub panel. The ground wire from the 2 new ground rods goes there too. You don't need to run an additional ground wire from the main service ground rods if that is your question.

Neutral and ground are separate in the sub panel.

Whoever said or wrote that is WRONG! Im so sick of misinformation about grounding.

Whoever told u that was confused about the difference between EGCs/grounds and grounding electrodes...EGCs are for a low resistance fault path...grounding electrodes are for grounding lightning, among other things...

One doesnt substitute the other! Theyre BOTH required at a detached structure!!!

Why don't they require mobile homes to be grounded at the structure?

In other words my service entrance is on my garage. The services tees off in the meter box and runs to a 200 amp panel in the garage and to a 200 amp disconnect which to which the mobile home feeder is attached. There are two grounded electrodes there and of course the neutral and ground are bonded.

My mobile is about 60 feet away. The ground is isolated from the neutral in the mobile home's panel and all the way back to the disconnected located right next to the service entrance.

just now seeing this 5yrs later.

Do you mean why dont they put ground rods at the mobile home? most mobile homes here have the service pedestal right next to the home and there are ground rods there.

or are you referring to the bonding of the neutral?
