It's been over a year and thought I would share my build to date. This has been 20 yrs in the making, so I can relate to anyone who has waited or is waiting to build. The whole select a contractor, get it built went smooth. Even the permitting and inspectiosn we relatively smooth. It's a 30x40x10 pole building with 3 windows, 1 18x9, 1 10x9 and 1 man door.

These 2 pics are after the OHD doors were installed. The 18'door faces the alley and the 10' door case my yard. It is a drive through. I did this for access, entertainment and summer cooling. All of the stone aroufn the garage is now paved.

I will go back through and post additional images. You will see a lot of borrowed ideas, some borrowed and modified ideas as wella s some of my own. Enjoy.

Here are a few pics of the framing I did on the inside to prep for the walls I ran all of the electric and water myself. It's basic 16" OC. I had the trusses set 24" OC to ensure i could install any material on the ceiling I wanted. The end opposite of the OHD is 12' of attic trusses. If i remember right the pitch is 6/12 to give me extra height. The second and third pics are after we got th einsulation done. What a difference that made in January with a tordedo heater (temp heat for now)

Here is a pic of the two closets. They are both 8x5 inside dimensions. The one on teh left is for tools, ladders and compressor. The closet on the right is mechanical. Water, electric, phone, Cable, internet all enter here.

The area between the closets has 2 work benches on wheels that i made (3rd on yet to come). The TV will be replaced with a projection. I've got surround sound (the gray units flanking the TV). Ceiling fan ready for the summer. And my rolling bar/table/cooler and stools that i made with custom Yuengling branding.

Here are pics of the comporessor. It's a simple poter cable 6hp 25 gal. I have it plumbed using RapidAir. I had a custom distribution block made for 3 feeds by a friend. The line between the tank goes through the wall and comes back into the closet. This is because I have a shut off valve and switch on the outside.

This is a pic of the hose hookup. This is next to the 18x9 door. I used a laundry connection for this that i installed upside down. I have a second hose bib on the other side next to my 10x9 door. Both of these are plumbed through the ceiling with a high point to ease draining in the winter. All plumbed in pex. I will soon be installing a Rheems 10 Gal point of use water heater in my mechanical closet. Next to the laundry connection is one of my 3 Rapid Air connections.

The second pic I threw in to explain the Tampa sign. You see, if it is not clear, I am a Yuengling Fan. Born and raised in eastern PA I think that is a requirement. On the second pic you see a Pottsville, PA sign. Both signs point inteh direction of both breweries.

Here are 3 other inside shots with the two OHD so you can see how they line up. Also 2 other shots of the inside during the insulation weekend.

Thanks vekster. It has be intentionally a slow process to make sure placement of everything is functional. It's easier to move things around before the walls go up.

Plumbing 95% done. I have a sink, urinal and 10 gal water heater in a closet. I also have 2 hose bibs in the garage. One is a regular hose bib and the other is a washine machine fixture so I can have hot water for washing cars. The array of valves you see in the one photo are to turn off and drain the lines outside of the closet since I will not have heat in the garage 24/7, only in the closet. I need to add one more washing machine fixture in the closet as well for another hose hook up.
