Hello Everyone!
I own an old air compressor from 1944, Tag say ERIE Metering Systems on it.
Model # 30 JJ Serial. # A9875 Has 1944 stamped on the tank. I'm in need of locating parts ( Piston rings, Gaskets, Valve seats ) for this crippled beast from the past. When she was running, it was sweet! I'm a couple of hundred dollars into the rebuild already. I would sure like to get her running again. I'd hate to see it go to the junk yard. I'm in the process of making my own Valve seats out of stainless steel which should come out ok. I cant seem to find the piston rings anywhere. The Gaskets? I think I can make myself as well.
Any help would be appreciated. See attached Photo's.
Thanks
Raymond

as said above, you might find small engine rings that are close. a bit if machining or fitting might just be the answer.

That valve plate that's broken,I'm sure there's members here that can assist with making you a new one, or you could contact Keith fenner ( search him on you-tube) he would be able to make you one.

Here are the unfinished stainless steel valve seats. The originals were aluminum. I just need to mill out the pocket for the valves.

Yes every one and everywhere you inquire about Piston rings ask for the Make and Model. No one wants to search for the ring that has the spec's that you require. Guess it's just not worth their time and effort. Sure would be nice to find out what Company made this compressor for the ERIE SERVICE STATION SUPPLY CO. I’m pretty sure they did not make their own. I find that out? and I think that I would find my parts. Who Knows????
Thanks for the reply. Monkey Milk....
