Lowes/Kobalt knock offs of the Hansen socket trays?

i picked up a pair of hansen knock offs from a local lowes today. they are kobalt branded. but say distributed by waterloo. they were cheap too! $6.50 each. but all they had were standard, no metric. i checked their website and called a few stores, but no luck. where can i find the metrics?

they do not say hansen in any way,shape, or form. they do have patent number 5,511,673 molded in them. i could post pics if it would help?

Yep, I saw those too. They said Waterloo and Made in the USA, and aside from the red color, these appeared to be Hansons.

I cannot find patent numbers on my Hanson trays, though.

I don't have them personally, but I've seen them in the stores and they looked like hansons to me too.

If the $6.50 is a clearance price, then it might be hard to find them in another store at the same price, even in the same city.

I found the 1/4" SAE version at my local Lowes for about $6.00. The 3/8" version was around $9.00 and they did not have the 1/2" or any metric. It looks like it's a chain wide sale, but quantities vary by store/region.

I have a set of Hanson trays that a blue and black, SAE Blue Metric Black. Hanson made them that way for another distributor a while back. I prefer them over the red and grey, I don't know if the ones you have are made buy Hanson and relabeled at the price you payed thought. :headscrat

haha, i had just gotten them, and brought them into the apt to do some research and try to find the metrics. the lighting in the bathroom is the best in the apartment. originally just took it to send to my dad to try and find at stores in his area.

I have looked for the metrics from Chicago, to Mobile, to Atlanta, to Denver. I have never seen them at Lowes in metric sizes. I have one of the SAE 3/8 ones. It is identical to my Hansen branded one except for colour.
