A friend of mine who I knows I'm into tools calls me, says that his brothers wifes father worked on the shop floor for S-K for 3 years during the Dresser years had passed and they're going to have a garage sale to get rid off stuff...I immediately begged to come buy items before anyone else and help them sort as they're not tool folks. Sure he says....

The Bad News...I said' I'm sure he had some SK Catalogs', they said 'oh there were about 50 of them, we figured they were worthless so threw out in the dumpster' that was already gone.

Mostly all SK, many nos items but some Indestro, Snap On, also. Chicago is tool Mecca.

I haven't finished sorting it all yet but wanted to share....

Metric Tool board, new in box.

Snap On Witworth wrench and socket sets

Craftsman SAE Made in Japan set. new.

Old Indestro Set

You ****. That's a rare find. The gentleman's male relatives should've wanted all that for their own garages out of nostalgia for him and to use. Shame that there are guys out there who can't appreciate some awesome tools that were owned by a relative of theirs.

Wow
I love some s-k green.
Absolutely great find.

I'm a collector/hoarder. Take your pic. Wife is younger and she should out live me. I just started an inventory and instructions cause if my family throws away something like this family did I'm gonna haunt someone.

What a monster haul! Mint as it gets too!
I feel the s word bubbling up...SUCKAGE! Man, that's like a dream pick.

What is the ratchet with no gear in the tool tray? An unfinished example?

These are finds any tool guy dreams of, I only wish you had been there to nab the cats too. Makes a guy ponder how much "history" has been lost to the scrap heap due to naivety. Again, nice find OP!
