makita MAC700 vs California Air Tools 6310

i've narrowed my choices down to just these two , they seem to offer the best quality/features for $200 , don't wanna spend more money but i want something better than the typical $120-$140 HF/husky etc. . the biggest tool used on it will be a single framing nailer for occasional cherry picked side jobs (building/repairing decks) , but no construction on a regular basis ...... maybe 1-3 times a month .

the 700 and 6310 are very different from one another oil vs. air , small/narrow vs. wheeled , fairly quiet vs. not very loud , very durable (700) vs. unknown durability .... but both are ranked at the top of amazon's customer ratings and both get great comments in forums . the 6310 looks to be enough SCFM for a framer and the 700 has almost a CF more power (2.4 vs.s 3.3 , both @ 90) . but the 6310 has well over twice the tank storage(2.6 vs, 6.3) . both are $200 locally .

i suspect the makita will last longer , and i suspect i will get at least several years (maybe more) from the california air tools . but the CAT has the larger tank and is close to the quietest compressors available . the sound difference of the CAT in videos is very appealing . will the CAT cycle a framing nailer and should it last a solid 5 years or more ? i'd expect the makita to last at least 10 and potentially 15 or more . but if i get 5 years out of either i fell i will have gotten my money's worth . if i spend 200 and only get 2-3 years i'll be disappointed though ......

so which will y'all recommend ? and why .
LOL , this will be my last thread on compressor choices , thanks for putting up with me and for the helpful replies in my other two threads . :)

BTW , talked to a gentleman at CAT today , asked what the duty cycle was on it and he replied %70 . i was surprised ! i asked how it would do with a framing gun , he said it would depend on how fast it was shot , that for fast folks it may slow them down (i appreciate a honest negative comment about a product and it always give me some instant respect for the sales person) , but for medium or slower folks it should keep up .

here's what looks to be a pretty thorough review of it that does mention some shortcomings .

so i'm gonna go with the CAT . if it doesn't keep up i got 90 days to return it to HD and get the makita to replace it . won't cost me a penny more and their 2 year extended warranty is the same $20 .

How much was your price on California Air compressor ??

You'll be satisfied for many years with lightweight portable compressor. I've got similar design DeWalt but it's oil-splash and pretty heavy to haul around (all steel). However, it runs great and no problem running a framing nailer.
