First one is tempting. Are the wrenches easy to get from IR?

The wrenches are nothing special.... this grinder does NOT need thin wrenches. you can use a 1/2" and 3/4" from your wrench drawer on it.

I may be interested in your IR grinder I see you set it up with a cutoff wheel, it's really a grinder right?? Does it really chew up the 25cfm that IR says ( gives a 5hp compressor fits??).

Thanks

William...

Not sure what you mean by really a grinder? I guess its really an angle grinder (with a very small body). it is not a die grinder, as in, it does not have a collet, but a 3/8 shaft. You can attach cutoff or grinding wheels to it with a 3/8 or 5/8 arbor opening. I wouldn't put any kind of wheel larger than 3" on it though--the body is so small (and the guard would need to be removed) that you could cut your hand open very easily with a larger wheel.

I run airtools that are specd at more air consumption (some much more) on my 5HP compressor, and they seem to do fine. Maybe I just don't know what I'm missing?

This grinder zips right through 3/16 plate without stalling. It doesn't have the sheer brutal power (i.e. twist your wrist or break the wheel) like some of the bigger pneumatics, but it is a great tool for what it is. I just don't need another cutoff tool.
