Well, I got tired of waiting for the perfect deal to come up on a used Wilton machinist vise. I have always wanted one of these, so the other day I phoned up the welding supply and today it arrived!

I am very happy with it. Its got that new vise smell. :D

Beautiful! I have always loved the paint on those.

I bought my Yost 204 brand new, and love it!

If I ever buy another vise, I would most likely buy a bullet.

It was a tad over $500. Not a bargain by any stretch, but I'll have it the rest of my life.

I feel that it doesn't matter if you paid full price for it; what matters is that you purchased a quality vise and it will serve you very well.

Enjoy it and don't abuse it.

I bought my 1765 new about 3-4 years ago because I was tired of waiting for a used one. Have used the absolute hell out of it, and would still be waiting otherwise!.... still is tough getting the torch near it though!:bounce:

Heck that's not even a bad price. A good used bullet will run you half or more of that anyways! Keep looking for a beater for the torch work.

Earlier this year I went down to the Milwaukee Tool and Equipment plant and bought a new Morgan 150 off the shelf. Solid investment.

That's actually a good price considering used Wilton bullet pricing. Looks like the same quality.
