Great deal on a thread restorer set. This set is made in the USA and the same set that's sold by some truck brands such as Snap On. Kastar makes this set.

Use mine almost daily at the shop, and have had plenty of times I've needed it at home, so now I have a home set.

Well damn. I had been waiting for this set to drop to $40 for so long to save a little change. Coincidentally, a 3/8" and 1/2" drive go on sale too. Including tax, I still forked out $55 for what I wanted, but at least I got a little more, and $22 dollars in points!

It's a no go for me. Sears says not available within 50 miles of my zip code. Tried several other zip codes in Northern California, same result. Can't pick it up in store, can't have it shipped, even tried lay away. No thread restorer in my future. :sad:

Same here, says not in stock at any local store, not shipping, but it does say Layaway Available..

$5 says this set has been discontinued... this happened to me on something else that i was going to buy (i think i was doing the "next paycheck" game) went from shipping options/store pickup being available to "shipping temporarily unavailable" and no store pickup option then eventually completely vanished from the site

Possible alternate source at a reasonable price even w/shipping.

Also, to chime in on the in store vs online argument: I have seen thread restorer sets, but apparently there's a 40 and 48. I'm not sure which I saw in store.
