How about the first 20 people that posted a difficulty signing in, post their name and the time that they posted the problem on the other thread. Possibly they will take these names as the first 20. Can't hurt to try this as a back up plan.. Junk..

I do not think posting what time you were trying or posted your troubles on here is the right thing. I tried right at 3:00, typing as fast as i could, no more then 15 seconds, got the error. Tried numerous times. Then when 3:30 was announced, tried more times. Not sure what the solution is, but obviously very high interest.

For sure any word that got out to the other forums and new signups should have some scrutiny. Maybe they should limit to real Garage Journal folks that have been here for some length of time?

3:56 pm just checked and the front page says:

Due to technical difficulties, this group buy promotion must be rescheduled. The amount of traffic we've received exceeded the bandwidth of our processing servers, which didn't allow submissions to go through. We sincerely apologize for the inconvience and will announce a rescheduled contest Monday.

Maybe they should limit to real Garage Journal folks that have been here for some length of time?

BFD you've been here since Dec 2006 and made a whole whopping 14 posts.. just because you signed up 3 years ago does not make you a contributing member..and just because people like me who never heard of Garage Journal until someone sent me the link to this GB does not mean I am below you..

Anyone have an idea what the membership was before this MaxJax fiasco was posted several weeks ago? Chances are the next go round will be just as bad as this one.

You totally misunderstood my intent. I NEVER said you were beneath anyone. I simply said that the intent was for the group buy to be for GJ members. If people heard about the group buy and then signed up here for that reason? Draw your own conclusions. BTW, read the other post on this, there is the same opinion expressed by several others.

If you like this site, and contribute, I hope you do from now on. I have been a member for along time and generally do not post much. Just read and learn. Probably half my posts are on this Max Jax group buy.

Why they were here planing the group contest,first 20 only, 1/26/09 here at GJ. YOU could have been over at ClubCorbra for their group purchase no contest apparently no limit, 1/28/09 till 2/9/09 5:00 pm ,

Yeah, checked out the ClubCobra deal. A little more than the offer here, but I think that would be much more fair than what happened here. Plus, the way it was initially presented, I had the impression that these twenty were going to be the first ones available to anyone? Guess not...

I fully agree with you Pat. I think they may have sold a ton of these had they offered the same sales deal to those who did not win the contest , but you get that taste that they made too big for them to do a GJ only thing. :headscrat

To bad they just didn't offer to the first 20 GJ members that wanted one while following the original post. First come first served, then a small sales deal after that like the Cobra guys. But.... NO..., they wanted it all, too bad,

I now could care LESS... I'll make due with what ever comes my way via another real trustworthy co.....
