Mac Tools P series pliers

I figured with all of the complaints with the recent "hot deals" thread purchases of the Mac pliers I would compile some information for future reference. Link to that thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=304036

Information on the P series pliers, which are Chinese made. The M series seems to be the USA versions that Mac offers. The price difference should show this.

I took pictures of my closeout Mac pliers compared to Harbor Freight's similar offering to show the subtle difference. I don't believe these are exactly the same, but they really are no different for conversation sake.

Interesting note is that Gearwrench pliers have the same grip and color scheme as the Mac.

At least one cool thing about the Mac pliers is that they use some sort of black surface protection to keep a lot of the bare metal from rusting. The Harbor Freight pliers in the picture are showing rust and they are kept indoors...
