I finally got my lift ... Thank you M & J Distributing and the group buy.

My order went through fast and shipping took 4 days, two were weekend days. Picked it up on Monday with my trailer at Con-Way Freight.

Pictures below are the reveal ... lift looks well made, with just a few paint scratches. I'm not a show guy, so a few scratches are a non-issue for me.

Price could not be beat anywhere ... and I tried!!

Arms are 3/4" plate steel. Dolly is heavy duty too. Came pre-wired for 110v. I was thinking of getting a 220v setup, but that would limit it on where and who could use it If I loaned it out.

Still need to get the hydraulic fluid, and I'm going to install some good quick disconnects first.

... more reveal images. Once out of the trailer and off the pallet, it actually rolled pretty good. Wheels on dolly and lift are solid steel and look to have some good sized bearings. Very happy so far ... :D

Anyone with a simialar unit have any recommendations on what fluid to use? Manual says to use a 10W non-foaming hydraulic fluid or Dexron III ATF.

Anyone have a parts list for the flat faced disconnects. Only ones I can find locally are not the flat faced ones, but have a small button showing.

I bought the least expensive Dexron ATF at Wal-Mart for my MD-6XP. It works fine!

Find your nearest "Parker Store"...... They should stock the flat faced connectors.

Yes, but not the flat faced ones. They are the ones that don't leak, from what Ive read so far. If the ones I showed above are dripless, they'll do then. Guy at Williams Filter couldn't guarantee they would not leak ... just don't want a mess when power unit is stored

It's 32 degrees outside, and a nice 55 degrees inside the garage ... so I moved the lift inside to do a brake job. I have an 8' limit under my rafters, so the lift height is a good one for me. Lots of room, even for accessing the center areas.

Some images of the dripless connectors and hose stub. Cost about $75 out the door, for the hose, male and female connectors and the adapters. Work great, but can be tough to connect if there is any pressure in the lift. No leaking what so ever!!

Thanks for the images! Looks like the short whip has a 90* fitting at one end, quick disconnect at the other, then you added the other quick disconnect to the existing BP hose attached to the motor? These are 3/8" fittings, any thoughts on psi requirements for the hose?

Thanks.

Can you reveal how much the lift cost you, delivered to your door? Or are you sworn to secrecy as part of the group buy deal?

The rating on the connectors is around 5,000 psi. I added one connector to the end of the factory hose and had a 12" piece made up, which had the matting piece.

The lift was ... shhh ... ($1875 delivered to a local shipper).

Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Lol. I kind of sped read the link and it appears that the only way to get a price was via PM. Thanks, nice price.

By any chance do you remember what the connectors cost and what part number they were?

No, sorry on the part numbers. Cost was about $80 for connectors, adapters and the 12" hose with ends.

Couldn't find those, though I'm sure they will work. I'll see if I can get the Mfg and a part number.

Thanks ... use it all the time.

My lift showed up last week, same day I was off to the local hydraulic hose shop and within a few minutes they understood what I was looking for and had made up the hose. Bring long a few pictures from this thread and it will click. Attached are the part numbers used to make a 12' long whip, cost was $100. I oriented mine the same way as bmxdad, if you wanted the hose to follow the default path through the side of the lift it could be done but the hose would need to be a fairly precise length and you'd need a 90 elbow, otherwise it would likely interfere with the ramp for your car.

This quick release whip is a must have IMO. Should make all the difference in keeping hoses off the ground.

Was cleaning the drive way and moved the lift. Noticed that the steel wheels had smoothed out the brush finish on the concrete. I had a steel plate left over from an old project to cover it, so shouldn't be an issue now. Should have done this from the get go ...

You caught it much earlier than I did, over the course of a few months mine started doing quite a bit of damage to the concrete. To be fair the floor is usually a bit dirty as I park a daily drier above the lift but I was still surprised how fast the floor started to fall apart. I moved the lift over a few inches, then decided to put down a sheet of spare metal I had kicking around. a 24"x32" piece covers both rollers and the extent of the lift from flat to maximum. I would recommend this to anyone who uses a midrise, unless they keep a pristine environment.

Can this be unloaded off a trailer without a forklift? Maybe tip the trailer up and it slides off?

It weighs close to 900# in the large low pallet it ships on, so it's going to be clumsy. But if you've got the time and creativity sure you could get it to slide off a tilted trailer.

It's what I did, but I blocked the end up so it wouldn't just come crashing down. I used an engine hoist and dolly to finish the move. Once it's off the pallet it moves around fairly easily.
