Just got Milwaukee #2797-22 (Gen 1 Fuel Hammer Drill and Impact Driver...)

Home Depot had it as an 'Online Only" special...

It is out of stock, now...

Maybe I got the last one!!!

As an incentive to buy "last year's" stuff, they threw in an extra 4Ahr Battery...

The Gen II Fuel set is #2897-22, and you only get two 4AHr batteries, instead of three...

Gen I was $ 349.99, while the Gen II is $ 399.99...

Actually you get the newer 5.0ah batteries with the new gen II kit. The drills themselves were also redesigned. Both drills are now stronger than the last ones.

I bought the 1/2 hammer drill and impact driver today at honedepot. If you buy that kit for 399 you get 150 off another tool so I picked up the grinder tool only and a few other things and got 150 off my purchase making the grinder and some cutoff wheels free.

From CPO tools, you can get the Gen II (2897-22) for 399.99. At this time you have the option of receiving one of three freebie options. A 2 pack of 5Ah batteries, a bare tool grinder, or a bare tool sawzall.

Yesterday I ordered the kit and extra batteries (for a total or 4 5.0Ah batteries) for 399.99 with no tax and free shipping. Bound to be dramatically better than the V18 set I currently have...

Wish they would expand "free additional tool up to $199" to include more than only the 3 offerings that they have now. Then they would be on par with the current HD promotion. They could even 1-up HD by offering Gen 2 Fuels as some of the additional tool options!

Sorry, but you got screwed. The best deal going now is the HD $150 off if you order the 2897-22. I just got that kit and the M18 stick light for $320.

Edit: sorry I take that back! For the extra 2-pack of 5.0's CPO is the better deal!!
