Vlchek Tool Company got there start as a blacksmith shop (a recurrent theme in a lot of my stories). It was started in my Home State of Ohio like a lot of other great tool companies like Cornwell, Wright, Herbrand and others. They got there start 121 years ago back in 1894 in Cleveland, Ohio by Frank Vlchek and it became incorporated in 1909.
I could go on with more History but it is covered in great depth on the web I will leave you with some great links to look over.
Special notes:
I wanted to see if the special hub wrench was used on any make of older vehicle from the turn of the Century and if perhaps a year of production could be found but alas talking to fellow GJ member Lump (who loves older cars) no date or car model could be found for the wrench.
A 1913 catalog came up for sale, oh how I wish it would have gone to a member that would have put the contents on the web for all to see; but the final selling price was $300.00 dollars way out of my price range be sure and see the link.
We have hammer lovers (me), ratchet lovers, vise lovers and I see hub wrench lovers be sure and look at the link for hub collectors out there.
Last but not least after talking to lump he showed me a picture of another hub tool in his collection and that tool is over the top in the cool factor; (maybe you guys can send him this link in a pm and ask him to show it to you guys).
