I've been trying find out more about an older Ryobi corded drill that was handed down to me. What I know:
- My specific drill is a D-100VR per the information number molded to the inside of both halves of the plastic housing.
- It is approximately 20-25 years old. The parts diagram on Tool Parts Direct (found here) shows a date of "Jan. 1992".
- The drill has a 3/8" (10mm) chuck and a reversible/variable speed switch.
A repair parts list with an exploded diagram is the only documentation I have been able to dig up. Product literature, an operation manual, pictures or any other information seems to be non-existent. I check eBay and craigslist off and on to see if another used D-100 pops up, but it has yet to happen. The exploded parts diagram mentioned above is the only visual reference I have found online. I pulled the following example from a PDF found on a site called Ryobi Spares (original linked here).
A few Ryobi tools from the same era have shown up on the secondhand market. By a few I mean one eBay listing for a D-130 drill and three (two eBay/one craigslist) listings for E-4000 drivers over the last year. Side note; the D-130 and E-3900/E-4000 are similar in appearance and actually use the same plastic housing. Why either of these are relevant is because photos of a Ryobi E-4000 driver (shown below) are as close as I'm going to get to showing what the D-100 looks like. There is enough family resemblance to get by.

My drill has had a hard life. It spent an unknown amount of time in an industrial environment before my dad saved it from a scrap bin 10 or so years ago. The one remaining label is only legible enough to make out "RYOBI" and I only confirmed the model upon disassembly. I'm hoping some GJ members are familiar with the Ryobi D-100VR, have product literature or even the drill itself.
