Hi, I'm a newbie here. Thanks for having such a good, specialized forum. Very interesting to read the threads here.

I have just finished installing a Ben Pearson LMT-12 Four Post Lift, and I'm trying to figure out what the sliders on the main ramps are used for. I understand they can hold a jacking plate/tray or oil drain pan, etc... I just can't find any info on how they go together, what the part numbers are, what optional accessories they offer, etc...

I have the Ben Pearson Parts and Installation Manuals on this unit, but they don't show anything about these optional units, or the parts list, assembly instructions, for the sliders, etc...

If any of you use this lift with the big yellow sliders that are covered with a rubber plate, I would really enjoy knowing how you use them, what options they have, how things hang on them, etc...

Any pics of the assembled tray, brackets, etc... or diagrams, parts lists, etc.. would be sincerely appreciated.

I have sent emails to Panzitta Sales and Ben Pearson (although it failed), so, hopefully they can advise me next week. In the meantime, I'd love to hear from someone who actually uses this lift.

Thanks!

Happy New Year!

Hi Motofool33, do you have one of these lifts or know anyone who does? Hope things are going well in Houston. I worked there for 2 years at Memorial Hermann in the Med Center.
God Bless Texas!

Cool. Thanks for the info. With the rubber tops and the legs, they may be for lifting a car and securing it to work on wheels/brakes, etc... I'm sure I'll learn more next week when I can talk to the factory, etc... Have a Good Weekend!

I put some more time looking closer at the rubber covered slider units. There are legs that drop down and use large pins between them to rest the plates on the top of the rail after it is dropped to the ground and then elevates the wheels off the rail and raises with the lift.

I found a sticker under the mechanism and it calls them "Free Wheelers" and they each hold 3000 lbs, or 6000 lbs total for both sides, so, they are meant to be used either in the front or rear of the vehicle, not in the middle to raise the entire vehicle.

Now that I know what their intended use is, I'll be better informed to get the right parts and safety information, proper use, etc... Now to see that they don't crush any rocker plastics.

More as I learn about them next week.

Hey, I just purchased one of these lifts used, I was wondering if you could possibly post the installation instructions? Thanks.

There's a company that sends out instructions. What exact model do you have? I might have your instructions.

I realize this is an old thread but thought I'd ask anyway. Does anyone have dimensions for the footprint of this lift installed? I have acquired one that is completely disassembled and it will be some time before I can get it cleaned up and installed. I'd like to start planning my floor layout now so I don't have to shuffle things or run new electrical and air when it comes time to install it.

Hello Bored350,
There were two versions of the LMT12 that Ben Pearson made. The overall width of either version should be 11' 4" and the overall length should be 17' 1". Both measurements are from the outside of the column bases. The older version, below serial number 22316, had catches for the lock which looked like rungs of a ladder welded across the columns. The newer version, above serial number 22316, had a channel with square holes welded on the inside back of the column for the locks to catch on. We have a parts list for both lifts, as well as many other pieces of garage equipment posted on our web site, panzittasales.
We stock many of the parts for these and other lifts and you can call us at 800-822-6720 to order.
By the way, if you have serial number 22316, I don't know which version that is..............

Thanks Panzitta! Very useful info and the I'm sure that I'll be in touch for a few parts since this thing has been stored outside for years before I acquired it.
