Myself and three friends each bought one of the 9000 lbs 4 post lifts. The other guys have theirs up and running. I unpacked mine but have not installed it yet. The other guys seem really happy with theirs. No complaints. went together in a few hours. The lifts are VERY well built and sturdy. They seem to be facsimilies of back yard buddy, but thicker steel and less cost. I like the post construction and lock set up more than other brands.
Even tho I don't have mine up yet, judgeing by my friends comments, I don't think you would be sorry if you bought one.

I bought one about two years ago now. It is well built and the company provides simple but great customer service. I have my 1970 Olds 442 W-30 on it all the time and while in the process of putting fuel injection on it run the lift up and down 30 times a day. No problems at all. I would buy another with no problem.

Awesome, did you install yours yourself? The more I look at these the more I see how well built they are, especially the locks themselves and the way the lift travels around the post it self. I was all set on a bendpak but now I am leaning towards these.

PS: doing the Hot Rod Powertour this year since a lot of it is in TEXAS?

I've been looking for a lift and I like the look of these but am concerned that it hasn't been certified by ALI. That said I think these look to be more heavily engineered than most of the other 9000lbs lifts.

Was looking at Bendpaks but their diminished lift capacity ratings for shorter wheelbases mean that my 4500lbs 90" wheelbase truck would not be within their ratings on the 9000lbs tall lifts.

The problem is the other manufacturers don't publish the diminished lift capacity ratings which makes it hard to determine the best lift for my truck.

Why not just order Bendpak's 12K lift? This way you're set for pretty much any vehicle? Anyway, I'm not familiar with the OP's lift (I have a Bendpak HD9B and I love it). Just glad to see folks finally getting a lift. I swear every new home garage should come standard with 220 and a car lift.

Yes I installed it myself. Took about half a day but did another set of hands to put the tracks in (red tracks). Works great everyday.

From what I can tell the next step up in the Bendpak line is 14,000lbs and the footprint is too big for my garage - really would like as small as possible footprint as my longest wheelbase is 110" and I don't have too much extra room... Just wish they made the HD9 in a tall version with the shorter ramps. As much as I would like a Bendpak, right now it looks like the best bet for me if I want a certified lift is probably going to be the Direct Lift PP8 PL...

I have been looking at Advantagelifts.us and wildfirelifts.com.

As far as certified by ALI, I can't find the criteria but from reading the BendPak page that compares their lifts to Backyard Buddy it eludes that the BYB the cable is not tucked away where the BendPak is (as one reason that it cannot get ALI certification). To me would nice to have the cables tucked away but not necessary.

I like the squire tube approach of Advantagelifts.us, large 12" footprint.
Note that for 2016 Advantagelifts.us also incorporated a slack cable safety feature. I don't think BYB or Wildfire have that, Bendpak I think does.
Also Advantagelifts and Wildfire have cable keeper to ensure the cables don't come off the pulleys if slack is encountered. I did not see that on the BendPak.

If I can squeeze it in my garage, I think I am going to get the Advantagelifts lift.
P.S. Advantagelifts gives you aluminum ramps where as wildfire are steel.
