I have used this box for about two months, so far it has held up good no problems.

Overall the box is compareable to the Snap-on UT22 box. The biggest differnce is the Toptul box is four inches shorter and 4" taller then the Snap-on box (18" vs 22" long and 11"vs 8" hich same width).
You wont likely get a 24" ratchet/breaker bar in eiether box so thats a moot point.

The Toptul box has tray covers that fold open when you open the box which is nice because they dont fall shut. It can be a finger pincher though (especially if your not used to it).

It pretty much hold all the tools I need it to hold, plus some extra room, The fact that the drawer are deeper than the Snap-on one is very nice.

The only thing I have noticed with the Toptul box is there is more side to side wiggle/play than the Snap-on, reason being is the 4" shorter legnth. That being said the snap-on verison has the same amount of wiggle/play. just one of the few flaws with this type of box.

What I mean is the four trays have a limited amount of side to side motion due to the linkage holding them together.

The sheetmetal thickness used seems to be the same as the Snap-on, FWIW .

The retails prices for the boxes is;

Toptul TBAC501 $80 ( shipping was about 15$)

Snap-on UT22 $122

Overall I'd say the box is a great value and comparable to Snap-on. I'm very satisfied with mine.

Note;

My Dad has a S-O UT22 that I used to compare with, however he is using it again and I wasnt able to get side by side comparison pics.

that looks like a pretty complete set of tools, I'm guessing it handles the weight ok?

Nice review and picts. How much does the empty box weigh by itself?

I was expecting to see a green box. Did you choose that color?

Silver was/is the only color that I know of green would be nice though.

The empty box weighs about 12-15lbs unloaded, I not sure how much it weighs with what I have in it (probably around 100+/-), but it seems to handle the weight pretty well.

About the only things I dont have in the box are 1/2 drive deep sockets and 3/8 bit sockets Otherwise I have just about everything I need.

I have a small waterloo box that I use for wrenches, which I have in pouches.

Well, I have had the box for a little over a year. It has some paint missing and had somehow gotten dented on a bottom side (I pounded it out, no problem). It has held up very well to probably being overloaded.

I do intend to paint the bottom half of all my portable tool boxes with truck bed liner to help protect them from damage/rust from sliding in the back of the truck.

Whats up with 10 ratchets? Seems a little overkill and with no wrenches (not even an adjustable) What exactly do you use this box for?

Maybe I am blind, but I only count 7 ratchets & 2 breaker bars. As far as wrenches, it looks like he has some channel locks and a few sets of locking adjustable wrenches (Vise Grips). :bounce:
