This isn't every mini 1/2" impact ever made, but some of the better ones I've seen in question lately. If anyone has a brand or model to add to the list, reply below. Also interested in any feedback on any models listed above.

These numbers were taken off the brand's websites and prices may vary depending where you look. I just did this as a quick comparison. I'm personally stuck between the Aircat 1055th and the Mighty Seven NC 4630Q. This video proves the Mighty Seven NC 4630Q is the most powerful within that brand. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...ww.realtoolreviews.com/m7-st...s-12-versions/

Did you check real tool reviews on you tube?

I seem to remember him doing a mini impact wrench shootout :dunno:

Is this the link? :dunno:
Real Tool Review of CP, Aircat, M7 and Astro mini impact wrenches.

According to this video, the CP and Aircat came in 1st at 617 working tq, Mighty Seven NC-4611Q in 2nd with 493 wk tq, and Astro 3rd with 479 wk tq.

Mighty 7 NC-4611Q - 3.3lbs, 4.38" long, 85 db, 10,000 rpm. $130 with stubby impacts on eBay

Great video and review I like that guy seems legit and not in anyone's pocket. Considering the CP or aircat for pro use this year.

Ayuh,.... I've been turnin' wrenches for 5 decades,....

I bought the IR 2235 a year or so ago, I Love it,...

No doubt, the best, most powerful 1/2" impact I've ever had in my hand,....

But that's not a compact/mini unit.... That thing does have some impressive numbers though.

I always watch his videos before buying something. He has a lot of different reviews on everything from Tekton wrenches to Matco opti torque wrenches. Cordless impact wrenches to pneumatic impacts. And like you said, he's not in anyone's pocket.

Matco MT2760 - Anyone know if this is rebadged?

It's not rebadged, it's new. Made by PTP, all aluminum, pretty decent.

Doesn't blow away the category, but good. A friend at a shop near here just got his, most of them are on back-order.

That Hazet has the exact same trigger and selector as the Chicago Pneumatic one I have. At least it looks identical.

The Matco is listed as having 600 ft lbs. Beat only by the Mac/Proto at 635 ft lbs.
So the Hazet is the same thing as the Matco? Does PTP sell their own tools?

The Hazet also has the same trigger/selector as the Aircat 1055TH.

What model is that Hazet and what are the specs on it? I can't find that model and everything I am finding is in Nm.

I work in a auto shop professionally.
I have the Aircat. Been using it since Christmas time of last year. I have Matco's biggest 1/2 inch drive impact, the MT2769. I've used my Matco gun two or three times since I got the Aircat. The little guy is awesome. I do everything with it, pull tires, axle nuts, press ball joints. Great little gun.

I wonder if the Aircat is made by PTP? The trigger/reverse switch assembly looks awful identical to the PTP made Matco/Napa/Cornwell/ete. guns.

On another note,
I had talked to the Matco dealer on wed., and He said they had tested the Matco stubby at another customers shop by taking lug nuts off a truck (500ft.lbs torque) and it took a couple of seconds of hammering, but it spun them off in short order.

That thing is awesome. I think I'm going to get one real soon. Do you also have a 3/8" impact or do you only use that?

I have the hazet... mixed feelings about it, sometimes it moves the lug nuts easy sometimes not, and there are times it wouldn't spin... just makes a noise.

I should have bought a damn IR as I always wanted, but the mini hazet was priced ok.

It says 1100 Nm which converts to 811 ft lbs of torque? That would make it 200 ft lbs stronger than the Mac/Proto and Matco. That can't be right. The working torque of 610 nm converts to 450 ft lbs which seems right.

Florida Pneumatic uses that design too, look at the FP748A, AKA Craftsman 19865

I did my best to find the specs on the impacts above. This is what I found.

John Deere AT-3114-J 6.5 lbs 7.5" long 7,000 rpm 400 ft lbs
Master MPT68230 10,000 rpm 550 ft lb torque
Klutch 48091 3.4 lbs 4.75" long 94 Db 10,000 rpm 500 ft lbs?
KTC - JAP450 2.4 lbs, 6.1" long 10,000 rpm 331 ft lbs
Hazet 9012M 2.7 lbs 3.6" long? 108 Db 10,000 rpm 450 ft lbs
BGS 3246 3.3 lbs 87 Db 11,000 rpm 500 ft lbs torque

Can anyone confirm the length of Hazet impact? It converted to 3.6" long which is quite short

I get paid Wednesday and I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the Aircat 1055. It's one of the shortest, lightest, quietest, and most powerful compact's I've researched. Realtoolreview.com tested it and it averaged 617 working torque. That's 100 ft lbs higher than its advertised number of 500 ft lbs. Add the fact that I love my 1600th and have had great luck with it, plus it can be had for $108, it's almost forcing me to buy it.

Who? Me?
I'm going to get the 3/8 one. My Snappy MG is on its way out. So soon. I use the Aircat 70% of the time probably. Use my electric Snap On 3/8 the other 30%. I have no complaints what so ever with the aircat. Never let me down taking off lug nuts, axle nuts, or during alignments. Usually if it can't get something loose it's pretty tight.

I was just curious because the compact 1/2" impacts are so small and have adjustable power modes, do you really even need a 3/8" anymore? I only own an older craftsman 3/8" impact that I rarely use. I don't even own many 3/8" impact sockets. For small assembly stuff I use my dewalt 20v 1/4" impact driver or my Mac pneumatic 1/4" impact driver with chrome sockets. Here's the Mac 1/4" driver I'm talking about. It's been on close out on macs site for some time now. I think I paid like $80 for it. Not the $272 price marked. Email them for correct price on that or any item in close out or clearance. They have a lot of good stuff for cheap. http://www.mactools.com/en-us/Power-Tools/Air-Drive-Tools/AISPC140/1-4-Hex-Drive-Impact-Screwdriver
