First off let me say hello! i have a thread in the intro section where i had a few photos and was told to post more up in here!
let me first say this, this garage was built and used by myself in between 2012 and 2014, so this is kind of a retrospective build! i have since moved away from the house and i now rent it out to a young family!
i purchased my first house in 2011, the house needed a fair bit of renovation and modernisation which all happened over the space for 5 months or so, after which i could then start the important work!
so when i bought the house it had lay empty for almost 2 years and the old woman who lived there prior didnt drive and wasnt overly mobile so the garage was in a state of disrepair... it measured around 16x10 which was just a little too small for my needs anyways!
there was no saving it and there wasnt much use for the wood either so with a pick axe and a crow bar i set about destroying it!
once all the wood from the garage and floor had been cleared away from the site i was left with what looked like a rubbish pile which needed to be extended and raised up! also due to the extra size i had to removed a small amount of hedge row in the back garden... these were deep rooted so instead of trying to hand dig it out the V8 of my 7 series BMW was enlisted as help and with a tow rope and very little effort the hedge was taken care of very quickly!
