Snap-On KC515a box date?

I've finally found myself an old snap on top box, to fit on my KRA379a.:bounce:
It's a Canadian built KC515a, with number: 4F0763.

Can anybody tell me, how old it is?:confused:

Since that is a Canadian model made for overseas use my USA catalog model numbers are different but that looks like a Kra55a probably from 1980-1983 since the drawers don't have trim. Here's a scan from the 86 catalog, see if the specs match your box.

Thanks, the previous owner had it for about 25 years old.But I thought it look older. :rocker:

If there's a serial number, call Snap On and they will tell you what year it was made.
If there's no discernible serial number, call Snap On and ask what the production dates were for this model.

Hi, the date is 1984.
The way you can tell is by the shape of the first digit. In this case by the shape of the number 4.

The Canadian made boxes are a little different than the American made SO boxes. The Canadian boxes have that script but no date code from what I've seen. My KRA 55 is similar to his but has chrome drawer trim.
