Are there any discernible differences ever since Gearwrench changed the country of manufacturing of these wrenches? My understanding is that they quickly liquidated the Taiwan-stock before they transitioned back to the main land.

All I know is I contacted Gearwrench about the Taiwan vs Chinese thing and they said there is no real difference. Basically, whichever plant has the time to fill the order, gets the job. Others have said the Chinese versions have thicker heads then the Taiwan made, but that just might be the new design since there are no "new" Taiwan versions to compare to. That I know of anyways.

Every once I awhile Sears will have this set half off. That way you can get the metric set and SAE set for the price of one at regular price.
