I have about 6 extensions and one 3/8 ratchet with ferret stamped on them. Date codes are in the 40's. What is the significance of ferret?

thier advertising stated that the smaller 3/8 drive could "ferret out" the hard to get at fasteners.

I think they used to call the early 1/4" ratchets a "midget"!
