Northern Tool regularly puts their big ratchet straps on sale for 9.99. They are pretty good for that price.

I get all of mine larger than 1" from US cargo Control with chain ends, they are having a 15% off sale currently. My 1" used to be from Harbor Freight, but I have since switched to some from Menards and they are much better and higher quality.

Costco has a 4-Pack of Goodyear Ratcheting Tie Downs for $18.99/$19.99. They are 1,000 lbs each and pretty nice. I bought a set of 4 and used them to tie down my Mustang during transport and they did a great job.

WOW, that is scary. Those only have a safe working load of 1000lbs., I wouldn't use straps with a SWL with anything less than twice that, preferably 3000 lbs. or more to tie down a car. Something more like these.

Depends on use, there are some excellent US made brands that members regularly recommend. And not a whole lot more then cheaper ones.

BUT... I use mine for medium duty stuff and the Costco Goodyear and (RED) Snap On branded straps are a very good deal at <$5 each.

Not to be confused with the YELLOW recalled Snap On straps sold at Walmart.

(And yeah Bay City....! Your Mustang is close to 4000lbs WITHOUT any forces applied to it. You'd be surprised how much force a bump or turn will put on a load.)

Another vote for macs custom... All others for automotive purposes are garbage.

And you to the poster that tied a mustang down with 1000# straps, you need bigger straps! Think of the force on the rear two during a hard braking!!

Not sure where you are (no location) but Menards has had a few sales recently where they've put the 10,000 lb (3,333 lb working) 2" straps on sale for $7.99 I believe.
