I wanted to let those of GJ know first, the Product Department (headed by yours truly) is looking to hire at Astro. The location is our headquarters in South El Monte, CA (LA area).

Does surfing GJ without having to hide it from your boss sound appealing to you? As a matter of fact it would be part of the job description.
But mainly, you would be working with me on developing new tools, testing and refining preexisting designs, QC'ing and running tests on new models and shipments as well as an equal share of office work. This would consist of compiling this info for Product Meetings, doing market research, corresponding with our offices overseas, reviewing manuals and packaging as well as working on big private label projects for Matco, Snap-On, Mac and Cornwell Tools.
College degree required.
Huge opportunity for growth for the type that is ambitious and hard working. Take on big projects you care about and decide what direction the company will be taking in the future. Product is the lifeblood of our company and I can say I honestly love coming to work each day.
Travel would be under 5% but possible as you become more integral in different projects. Pay is based on experience, but experience in our field is not necessary and we are looking for sort of a trainee that would then become a main Product Team member. Just need a mind for all things mechanical, loving cars and getting your hands dirty, but comfortable in an office setting. (it's pretty rare to find all of these things)
