Any have any info on the manufacturer of this 1/4" drive ratchet?
Recent garage sale find. The CM box in the back is unrelated, but from the same sale.

Those ratchets were sold under different brand names. They came in little economy type sets. Usually they are unmarked although I have seen some with a name stamped on them.

Some, the head unscrews from the handle. Yours looks like it does.

Thanks for the insight. No markings at all that I saw, I'll have to check to see if it unscrews. It seems somewhat solid compared to what we consider economy ratchets today.
Note that the 'corners' on mine seem somewhat more sharp edged than the others in the links provided.

The push button to change direction has a weak spring when in the reverse side, which causes it to slip that way. Might mess with it and see if I can get it to work better.

That's a Frankenstein ratchet. The side selector rod reminds one of the neck bolts on the monster.

I have one of these 1/4'ers, and most attribute it to Wright. Don't know for sure.

Here's a shot of the internals:

Cool, B man. I was not aware the gear came out.

* Please Note, the handle holds the spring and ball in place, they can easily fall out.

Correct as far as I know also, so I second this.

Glad I could help.

After removing the handle and ball/spring, you then pry the press-fit collar off the front knuckle. Remove the gear/knuckle out of the back. Then slide the selector rod out. Done.

I had or still have one someplace. It came in a cheapie set, early 70's. I think it was Japanese, and was frusterating to use, always slipping out of selected drive.

This is what I believe as well. I don't think Wright made these, although some guys associate them with similar ratchets made by Wright.

Here is a cheap OXWALL set on Ebay with one of these:
