In my last post I made several fatal errors, #1 Safety and #2 having a collection so lets just fix it for the following post before I start hearing about blood and guts and not wanting to have more things to look for!
(1) Safety is number one cans can explode and (2) you do not need to collect anything like old spray nozzles or straws. Hazemat suits, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and a face mask are always good ideas. Being over the age of 21 helps; So kiddies don't do this at home!
Their I think I have covered all my bases for the powers to be!
* Do not go over 90 psi.
** Following the link about reusing your old cans is just another idea but be warned trying too fill a can with such a small hole is messy and not very easy so be warned.
Several years ago I found that HF was selling the all metal reusable spray bottles so I picked one up, for some reason I no longer see them selling them. You can find them all over the net and on Amazon for about $20.00 dollars or you can make your own for much less.
Why keep buying expensive spray bottles only to throw them away when you can make your own and save some money plus save the environment.
I bought three bottles that you can fill with any of your favorite chemicals or even use just plain old air if you just need to blow off some dust on computer boards. This is just a tip (older then Methuselah) but never the less something that comes in handy when you need a powerfull spray.
All you will need is the spray bottle, most come with the spray tip and straws plus extra O-rings. You will either need a air compressor/bike pump, a funnel, steel balls or marbles, and keep any old spray nozzles and the plastic straws that come with the old cans as you can reuse them.
Never go past 90psi and you will be set. The metal balls/marbles just help in keeping the chemical moving freely.
