Hello GJ! I wanted to post my "build" for my new 12x22 Amish Prebuilt garage. My backyard prohibited me from building the garage of my dreams but I am just happy to have some garage space finally. Here are some pics of where I started and where I am at now. Enjoy!:rocker:

I am trying to figure out what I am going to do cover the floor to help it last long. I was considering Racedeck but not sure if I want to spend that much. I was thinking of doing 12x12 commercial linoleum tiles that are glued down. Anyone have any other ideas for a wood floor covering?

WOW! That was fast! Congratulations on getting some space. Looks like an improvement over the pool.

Tile will tend to crack over the floor seams, I think.

A good epoxy would be good on the floor. Maybe even a sacrificial layer of painted plywood, replace when it gets rough.

I have a friend with a timber garage here in the UK.. he used rubber horse mats.. They sell it by the yard for putting on the floor of Horse transport trucks, flexible and reasonably cheap and flexes with the timber while being pretty much everything proof.

Nice looking building by the way :)

Thanks! The whole ordeal took about a month. I wanted to let the ground settle a bit before the new garage got delivered. The delivery guy was there for about 15 minutes, it's crazy how fast they deliver them!

My parents have a 12x24 garage like that that we keep a 66 Galaxie in for 13 years. No problems with the floor yet. Now I don't turn serious wrenches in there either.

Rubber coin matting like they use in an enclosed trailer. Heck, 12 X 22 could just use some outdoor carpeting!

Thanks for the replies everyone! I will dearly miss the pool but when I got quotes around 15k for a new liner, wall repair and concrete around the pool it was a no brainer to get the garage.

I would not use tile...those prefab sheds are pretty sturdy, but the floors would still probably flex a bit much over time.
