Sears has the 7 PC sets of GW flex on sale. They were $29.99 today in-store but coming up $27.99 searching online. Here's the fractional:
http://m.sears.com/gearwrench-7-pc-standard-full-polish-ratcheting-flex/p-00944005000P

Fractional is 44005, metric is 44006

Note this 7 piece set is different from the more common 6 piece sets often sold around the same price point. In the case of the fractional sets the 6 piece set skips 11/16" while this set includes it.

I bought the SAE today and the cashier said I had $10 in points, so $20 for this 7 piece set seemed like a great deal (Xmas gift for friend). Best "regular" price I found in a quick search was Amazon at $47.52

I got a SYW email this morn, buried below some nonsense about 15% off household goods w code VETERAN was a mention of $15 off $15 purchase. Says "tailored just for you" but I can't be the only one who received such an offer.

So $27.99 online price less $15 = $12.99 for the metric set which I ordered as another gift. $13 for this set is just too good to say no, hell make 'em spares for the truck or trail at that price.

good deal!

But it didn't work for me.

got this two errors:

Get 15% off reg or sale price purchases of select Apparel and Fine Jewelry items. Use code:VETERAN

Online Only! Get an EXTRA 15% off fine jewelry, already 75% off. Use code VETERAN.

I ordered a set of each last week, at the $29.99 price. Didn't try any coupon codes. Delivery went smoothly. I did notice some blemishes in the chrome, just cosmetic I think, not worth complaining about at these prices.

Thanks OP! Coupon code is invalid it says for me, but even at $28 it's still a really good deal.

Not as good as this:

But still good. (Didn't know I could still duck taxes :))

I apologize, I was unclear. The VETERAN code had nothing to do with 15 dollars off. It was simply 15 percent off household goods.

I only mentioned it because the bulk of the email seemed dedicated to the stupid (IMO) 15% deal on household goods.

Then in small print in a separate part of the email it said I can have $15 off $15. I would have lead with that - it's a far better deal and based upon my purchase history they should know I've never purchased household anything from them but I buy a lot of tools.

I also mention it because I nearly trashed the email due to the stupid (IMO) sale of 15% on something I don't want, ie household goods. Other members might do the same if they don't scroll down the email a bit further as I did - and even then it's easy to miss as they didn't make a big deal of the $15 off $15.

They decided to give me another $8 off $20 last night so I ordered another SAE set for $19.99 (online price of $27.99 less $8).

It's actually pretty easy to see what SYW is randomly giving you - esp on mobile - just add to your cart, go to checkout and at the bottom in a huge box it'll say "you have $**.** in points today (includes $** in surprise points)". It's easiest to just start at shopyourway.com rather than sears.com (and oddly the SYW site is less likely to bog my phone)

I logged in again today and randomly have $4 in surprise points right now (shrug).

edit: I agree the SAE set is arguably a better value here as it's difficult to do a comprehensive (or even consecutive) set in metric with only 7 pieces.

Thanks op. I've wanted these for a long time. I've watched the set at advance auto go on sale a number of times around $29.99 ..this price with swr points is a no brainer. I got an additional $10 in points for buying both sets in one transaction.

I checked these in person at the store today, but wasn't fond of the overall quality. Not sure which direction Gearwrench is headed nowadays. The feel felt lighter and cheaper to handle compared to the Taiwan-made ratcheting wrenches purchased from HF last year. :dunno:

I just swapped them into my Tekton holder and yes, several of the actual bodies are noticeably thinner than Tekton.

GW has been going down the crapper for years, I'm only buying because at $20 or less these sets are a good value. More than $30 and they're not worth it.

The Gearwrench logo looks as though its been stamped on these wrenches. The New Old Stock available through eBay look vastly different in appearance. I've been getting very picky with Gearwrench lately. :D

I grabbed another metric set tonight. They just keep throwing "surprise points" at me. They gave me another $15 off $15. So after another random .51 in my account I got a set of these wrenches for $13.47 after tax.

If I can keep picking these up sub-$15 I'll gift them and have a set in every vehicle.

Much like TSC, Sears appears to be shipping just about anything free today. I ordered another standard set w free shipping and another $5.12 in points for $23.53 delivered and taxed. It's nice to come to my door as picking up at my "hometown " store is a hassle.

We all know Sears' shipping and packing dept seems to be trained by Zoro (or vise versa) so caveat emptor. I'm risking it for the convenience

Holy ****! First time ever I've seen Sears shipping attempt to put some packing material in a box to take up the empty space. Amazing.

These went back "up" to $29.99 but w Friends & Family going on right now they show $26.99 (10% off sale price). Lowest I've seen them before points or other discounts. You may also be able to register your Amex card for $10 off $50 thru sears.com (Amex sent me an email directly). The fine print says store pick-up not eligible for the Amex offer, so be sure to read your Terms & Conditions

Sears has a weird approach to logistics, they don't have a an actual warehouse that ships directly to customers, the orders go to a nearby retail store which then processes then ships out the item(s) to you. Its a risky practice, because a lot of the retail stores do not carry the actual item(s) in stock, thus resulting in cancellation or putting the order on pending status indefinitely until the customer calls in to demand a cancellation and refund.

Agreed, it's super weird. Sometimes they have a store ship you a product. But back in '14 I ordered 6 individual sockets. Each socket came in a small (say 3" square) white, air-padded envelope. They all came from Illinois, presumably a warehouse near HQ. Why the hell they'd send 6 separate tiny packages (UPS) is beyond me. I discussed it in this post here:
