Most likely its for Weatherhead hydraulic fittings

wow, it was kind of hard trying to find a picture of the fitting that these are used for. I searched for "weatherhead fitting" and "weatherhead hydraulic"
I'm guessing it's used for these adapters:

If you search 'weatherhead fitting' you'll find more, but the pic you posted is correct.
