I don't own any of the Ryobi line as all my cordless is DeWalt, but...I'm really impressed with their line and the way they continue to support it and improve it. If I were recommending a line to MY friends, I'd tell them to go Ryobi based on the price point, battery compatibles and support.

Yup, that is why I got into it. Not quite as PRO as Dewalt/Milwaukee/Makita/Bosch/Rigid but some of the tools are really *close* and a few really are just as good as the Pro tools. The vast diversity of the lineup and compatibility forwards and backwards for the batteries makes it really great for most homeowners or DIY types or even most contractors. And the newer 4 amp hour batteries are just the cat's meow. - Paul

Ryobi wants 65 bucks on Amazon for the glue gun.
HD wants 29 bucks for the same gun.

I'll pick one up tomorrow if there's one at the store.
Thanks.

lol yea, amazon and non HD places all seem to want double what HD sells stuff for. I will also be going in and picking that up

RE: Amazon pricing, not surprising. Home Depot is the only legitimate distribution channel in the USA for new Ryobi stuff. Amazon's not selling the tools, it's 3rd-party Marketplace sellers, who have to buy the stuff from Home Depot in the first place.

Just picked up the One+ Palm Router $70 Belt Sander $130, Orbital Sander $40, Glue Gun $30, and 4.5" Grinder $40 to add to all my other One+ tools. Also got a 2 pack of the 4.0ah 18v batteries knocked down to $89. Add in a set of Ryobi router bits $50, several packs of 3"x18" belts, extra glue sticks, and some orbital sandpaper, take off the 10% military discount (I'm retired) and I walked out at $455. It's a good Saturday for me. I'm a home workshop type and Ryobi is a quality value tool for my purposes.

Really wishing The Home Depot would fix their website so that you could order the brushless belt sander and the one+ palm router via .com.

No stores local to me or around me carry them in store.

I know exactly what you are saying. I couldn't get these in Virginia but saw they were in Tennessee, so I made sure to stop in when I was visiting my daughter there.

That's pretty typical with new tools, at least in my neck of the woods - the website doesn't get stuff until the local stores do, and my local stores get them later than stores that are 60+ miles away (in the metro area).

I have Ryobi and really like them.
The batteries have a flaw in the small black lithium.
They will drain down past the shut off and not charge.
This is a glitch with the protection circuitry in the battery.
Thanks to you tube I found a way the cheat these back to life.
I researched cordless tools to no end and found Ryobi is favored with many professionals.
Some even say they exceed some of the other expensive brands.
Perception is the only knock these tools get. They are a great deal.
Now that they have 4 ah batteries I see no need to look anywhere else.

You are gonna love the glue gun I got one about 6 months ago and it’s great. Should of had it long before that.
