GTO, Pic and model # of your first Seiko?

Maybe I'll start a watches you wear when working thread.

I have a Timex Ironman Datalink watch that I used only for work. It has 10 alarms and custom messages could be displayed during an alarm. Also 10 programable count down timers. I used it all the time when waiting for epoxies to cure in an oven.

My first Seiko and not exactly the one I want- it's SARB035... using their trusty mid-level 6R15 movement.

I was looking into the Hi-Beat but my wallet is pretty empty right now. What's the price on it and is it available yet?

Mr Borohachi,

Thank you for posting this ! This visual is a fine memory. My father was a career Marine and one of his best friends had one of the originals. As the original was issued in 1965, In about 1971 my young impressionable eyes spied one of these beauties on the wrist of my Dad's good Marine mates. I was smitten with it. Many of the servicemen had cool watchest (and other goods) from their overseas travels, and his Seiko was of such origins....it was his prized posession. I will show this to my Dad next week.

Hopefully as one commenter to the article stated, this will be released into normal production with a commensurate price reduction. It is bad **** IMHO !!

Mine is from around the same time. It's a 6309 (-729a, IIRC) with a pepsi bezel.

While the watch above is nice, I'm much more a fan of the rounded cushion cases, with the offset crown.
