Those are old, from the 1950s or something. Bluepoint boxocket was the old combo before it was relabeled snap on. Snap on was only sockets and ratchets, bluepoint was wrenches, and vaccuum grip was pliers...etc.

Not that rare, in the big picture...similar (single tool) displays are still made for modern SO tools...they show up on e-bay. check the used listings if they have sold pricing if you are looking for values.

What's more rare is to have a complete set of all the tools in one kit, as well perhaps of the vintage stuff. It would be like a cool find for Antiques Roadshow type collectors.

I'm not a Snap On collector, but I gotta think that stuff is pretty rare.

Anyone know the thread that has a lot of this stuff in it? I think it's something like "show your defective tools" or something. I couldn't find it on a search but it would be a great place to post these photos. It's in the Vintage Tool Section.

I admit, my "searching skills" are poor at best, but I can't find anything like it in the web...

I've never seen one but maybe others have. Just the other day I purchased a modern ratchet board for my collection. Couldn't pass it up.

That thing is great though. The way it's set up in a travel box, I wonder if it went to trade shows or came from an office or something. I doubt that big thing was riding around on an everyday tool truck but who knows. :dunno:

Here's a socket one that sold on eBay for $200. I would say their worth $200 to $300 a piece., but having the wood display box could easily add a nice premium to the price. Their also older than the ones I have seen sell. I would not be surprised if someone paid in the $1500 to $2000 range for it, but don't quote me on that, as I'm usually wrong(or so my wife says) Thank you for posting that, it's very cool.

Zoomie that is an over the top collection worth a small fortune... Take very good care of it; that is something anyone would display with pride in their man cave!:thumbup::beer::rocker:

I guess I should clarify... I don't see any on the internet with a "1956" date code on them...

I see lots of "newer ones"...

Take care!

That's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing. Tho now that I've seen it I don't think I'm in the market. See I do consider my tool collection part museum but the old tools I own are usable. So that box has no purpose other than something to look at. Oh I have tools that aren't much more than that but It's not the same either. Somebody with more space to fill than I have might be interested.

To the right person an easy G or Two. That would be me in about 30 years when I want cool stuff to look at while sitting in my recliner.

Hello. I know this is an old thread, sorry. What did you find out about your display boards? The reason I ask is because I have 3, the open end wrench, swivel socket, and box end wrench. Ive had a lot offers, $100 to $500, but have refused them. I think they are worth more than that. I'll keep them for that price lol. Any info is appreciated.

I think this is where you need to go. Email this guy..

I can only assume a complete set with the original case and other stuff would be extremely rare. I think most of us are wondering how you came across it.

I know this post is extremely old, but I see you are a Union Lineman, so is my Brother, so I am compelled to answer...

A buddy of mine gave it to me, it was his grandfathers, who was the best hoarder ever! No old pizza boxes and newspapers, but TONS of NOS old TOOLS. He could have started a museum with what he left him.

Take Care!
