If you're deciding between the Werner and this Gorilla ladder, just buy the Gorilla ladder and call it day, seriously ;)

375lbs capacity! That's 125lbs more, compared to the MT1-22
$99

That's a great price for a 1AA ladder and looks like a nice unit. I have a bunch of the 1A Werners from 13-22. I never use them as a straight ladder as they are kind of scary in that mode but as a step ladder or as supports for a pick, they are great. Just eat your Wheaties before carrying them around too much as all of these guys are heavy!

I have used this (and similar) ladders before. They have their pluses and minuses.
That said I could use a ladder like this, but maybe not at the normal price so I never got one although I've been wishing.

My local HD has 5 in stock at $99. Hopefully there's 1 left when I stop by after work tomorrow.
Thanks for passing on the deal you found.

I picked up the 22 footer today because at 62 years old I'm getting a bit too old to be standing on top of a 6 foot ladder to reach the top of the ceiling in my shop.
My wife is pleased with the purchase.

Thanks for sharing. I just bought one. They listed 7 at our local store, but had a stack of 12 or more at the construction entrance door.

Thanks for sharing - one question about the Werner vs Gorilla, I have seen that the Werner can be set up as 2 "A" frames to support a horizontal platform however I don't see that as a feature for the Gorilla? Can the Gorilla ladder be reconfigured for double "A" frames to support a platform?

Werners can do this. Gorilla cannot.

I bought this ladder and the $99 22 ft Werner. Big difference in weight. Gorilla is much stouter. Gorilla is 375# and Werner is 250# rating.

The Werner can become two scaffold bases. Gorilla cannot. I have qty 2 of the smaller ratcheting werners and have never used the scaffold feature so I think I might keep the gorilla. Could be better to be stouter when it is in full extension mode.

The number of options and the qty of options is the same for both lasers. Meaning a frame, extension and assumetrcial a frame have the same number of possibilities for the Werner and the gorilla.

I have had a Little Giant ladder for over 15 years and have never separated them to them for use as a scaffold so if you need to use as a scaffold why not buy two of these at this price....... These are nice ladders at a great price so place your order with confidence that you will like them.

My wife wanted to go with me so I waited until this evening to go pick up one of these and they're out of stock in our area.
Update, I found a store an hour from here that had 4 so I ordered 1 for me and 1 as a gift.

I ordered one around 330pm today. Showed 4 in stock online. Got a confirmation of order but have yet to get the "pick up " email. Damn, I hope I got it. Not another one for 100 miles

Looked at them this morning and decided I didn't need to replace two ladders with one that's 40+ pounds to lug into every job that needs a ladder.

For the 22 and the 17 all of a sudden it says "This product isn't currently sold in stores and out of stock online???"
swore my local store had 2 of the 22ft and several 17ft models?

They accepted my order too.... there was one in stock when i completed order...

Wonder if they will honor the price if someone in the store had it in the cart?

The Gorilla is a heavier rated unit. Having said that, the Werner's come in both 250 and 300 pound ratings. The Model# MT-22 is the type 1A or 300 pound rated and the MT1-22 is the type 1 or 250 pound unit.

IF... you are a PT... folks hauling these heavy suckers around will surely bring you some business! :)

They're just awesome for stairs, that's my main use. But I've got the BF Werner so I'm not much interested in these Gorillas even though they're nicer. I'm 165# so I hopefully should never destroy a 250# rated ladder

Stopped in my local HD, both the 17ft and 22ft are both still on sale, they had 2ea 22fts and a bunch of 17s, I looked over the 22ft and while it is a good deal, I too though I really don't need another ladder sitting in my shop, I have two myself so even though this is a good deal, I passed, in fact NOTHING they had on their spring black friday was enticing enough for me to purchase, the $199 tool chest looks small once you see it, so I passed on that too.

Most stores won't carry the Gorilla ladders as normal stock so the race will be on for penny status after 4/9. They pennied the BF Werners fairly quickly as they don't really have a place to "put them."

In fact I'd bet you could buy these now and within the 90day return period they'll drop to at least .03 status - if one's store allows return & rebuy.

I picked up one of the MT1-22 ladders on clearance. I didn't know it could be used as a scaffold. I don't understand how - does it require the purchase of an accessory bracket?

That's the crappy part. I boughtg the 13 and 22ft werners, and only the 13ft one came with the scaffold kit, the 22ft did not. A friend got the 17ft one, and no scaffold kit. I'll bet it's some safety ********, although I have used the 13ft scaffold kit on my 22 before.

Went to the local hd to try and find a 22 footer. They had one left but had a hold tag on it. No other ones showing in stock in the St Louis area currently. Some stores did show some on order so maybe more are coming in?

I did end up with a 17 footer but think i might return it if i can find a 22.

I picked up one of the 22 footers as I've been needing an extension ladder. I hope it's a good product. They were listed on deal sites all over the web, which may explain why they sold so quickly. It appears to be a very recently introduced product from from Tricam Industries. It also appears to be a Home Depot exclusive, at least initially. I picked up one of their Gorilla carts last year at Lowe's during a Slick Deal, so I would not be surprised if they become more widely available. The cart is very nice, so I have high hopes for the ladder.
