craftsman 336.27963 electric saw

I found this saw today at a local thrift store. Immediately caught my attention! It is in a METAL box! The documents with it are pretty cool.

Looks like it was bought and immediately put on a shelf, never to be touched again

Either that or the box does a really good job protecting it.
Someone cut off the middle pin on the electric plug though.

That was/is pretty common. OP, I bought that same saw from my uncle in 1966, and he had owned it for a few years by then. He said he was afraid of it. I used it until 1985 and gave it to a friend as a gift when he moved into my neighbor hood. It's a great saw.
