My local Parts City is doing their filter sale again. If you don't know what a Parts City is (privately franchised O'Reilly) it doesn't matter 'cause Napa won't be far behind.

Yesterday I just happened to buy a fuel filter for my '08 F350 V10. Wix 33243
O'Reilly regular price: $15.99
Parts City sale price: $7.39

I also purchased some Windsor-era SBF oil filters Wix 51515 (aka PH8A or FL-1A), $3.27 ea on sale.

I missed the march sale to then, was busy moving. I like to stock up on platinums when on sale.

My NAPA store's sale is early February. To my knowledge, they have no Fall sales. YMMV.

Yeah my Parts City also does a fall sale - generally October.

It occurred to me I need to price some LMM Duramax fuel filters - those things aren't cheap

....and again this year. I'm using O'Reilly for comparison purposes because they're a local retailer that I know stocks Wix

This week at my local Parts City:
-Wix 51372 (Ford modular Tritons aka FL-820S, also works on anything with M22 threads like a '12 Ram 5.7 Hemi) I paid: $3.77; O'Reilly $8.99
-Wix 57620 (CTD 6BT) I paid $5.57; O'Reilly $13.99
-Wix 33960XE (Duramax fuel - LMM in my case) I paid $28.83; O'Reilly $69.99
-Wix WL10010 ('19 Wrangler w 3.6) I paid $3.72; O'Reilly $8.99

I didn't compare Amazon prices this time around, but you'd definitely fare better than the O'Reilly prices I cited here.

edit: call your local NAPA, if they haven't already had their Wix filter sale, they will be. I'm guessing very few users are near a Parts City but it's a Wix thing more than a retailer thing.

Also for April most Platinum filters are $4.99 at NAPA.

So, in the above list I just realized I could have done better on the CTD filter 57620 at $4.99 for NAPA's 47620

Thanks for the tip. I ordered two filters at $4.99 each. The Wix XP filters are normally twice that cost.

I order my air filter/oil filters from RockAuto most of times in bulk. I've always kept my cars for about 6 years so ordering by 4~5 filters at a time wasn't big deal.

Actually the 5 qt jugs are $16.99

They're couching it as $21.98 for a Platinum filter and 5 qt jug but that just breaks down to $16.99 + $4.99

Got in on the napa filter sale a little over a week ago. Still haven't gotten some of my filters in. Seems it takes a long time to get the filters in if they dont have them in stock.

I think it all depends on location and availability, I had to order a couple of filters on a Sunday and they were at the store ready for pick up the next day Monday by 12 noon

^^my store ALWAYS says they'll call and NEVER calls when **** comes in. I don't expect VIP, just don't SAY you're gonna call when you know you won't.

That said, everything always comes when they say it will, so a call isn't exactly necessary anyway. But before heading down to the store *I* call to confirm it arrived, just in case.

Most everything is overnight from ABQ. For some reason it took 2 days to get oil filters for my Wrangler JL (shrug)
