I bought this compressor 2nd hand a few years ago and did not receive a manual with it. its a 1994 Made in US model.

I am now having trouble with either the pressure switch or the unloader valve and need to find the exact replacement parts.

I have searched the interwebs but cannot seem to find an online user manual for this exact model.

Any help is appreciated.

thanks

Craig

Can you post a picture of the top of your compressor? If it's a problem with the pressure switch/unloader, that part is pretty universal and you don't need to go through CH in order to buy a replacement. We can help you pick a replacement part if you also post a picture of the motor nameplate and the compressor output specifications.

and this is the part image i found online.
we went to use the compressor last night and my buddy said it didn't have enough pressure to run the impact. i looked at it and the pressure was down to 60 and it did not kick on.

after looking closer at it, it appears that the round disc came off the bottom of the part image below. if the compressor had not gone below pressure to kick on and i wanted it to run (filling high AP tires), then i would pull this down with my fingernail and it would kick on. Now, there is just a very thin pin sticking down and the round disc is gone.

Go to the CH web page, hover over "service and support" and click on "manuals/parts list".

Put your model# in the "Find Model" search box and click on "search".

You will get a list of VT5587 models including VT558705. Don't worry about the AJ suffix, it's irrelevant for your needs. Click on the model# to download. Other instructions are also listed farther down the page.

Here, I did it for you.
