Hi everyone,
I picked up a used harbor freight 40lb blast cabinet, and have started playing around with it. I have some new coal slag media in the bottom, and am using the original gun that came with the cabinet. Hooked up to my 20gal 4hp compressor until i get my electrical redone so i can hook up the 80gal
psi at the compressor is set to 90psi. No air dryer in the line yet, but plans for one.
The problem I'm having is that when i press the trigger, i get a little abrasive and then just air for as long as the trigger is held. As i release the trigger, the media kind of spews slowly out of the nozzle as the airflow tapers off. If i pulse the trigger, i can make the abrasive flow more, bit not exactly "well". The problem happens even on the first trigger press after the compressor refills, so i don't think it's necessarily related to the undersized compressor.
Any ideas what's going on here? Any suggestions for improvement are much appreciated!
Best regards,
Lee
