I have the Irwin, not bad, not good. I bought the set that had the left handed drill bits as well. Keep in mind, it is actually $42 because of the Irwin promo.

The Irwin keep in mind do not offer warranties like snap on,mac or matco which are all the same I am unsure of cornwell though

All work quite well but can round off easier than turbo sockets do

Please excuse this comment if this was obvious, but just wanted to point out those internal spline removers are sized on the threaded shaft.

If you are price sensitive about $42 on the irwin kit, you can look at the smaller kits that deal with m12/m14 which is about the range of standard bolt out kits, combo wrenches, and tap/die sets for mechanics. That larger set looks like it handles up to m24+.

I don't claim to be an expert but I've always been under the understanding that Irwin/Hanson was the OEM on the majority of Snap-on, Matco, Mac and Cornwell extractor sets.

There are 35 pc. and 48 pc. extractor sets offered by all 4 tool trucks that are identical to the Irwin version. I have the Matco 48 pc. Master Extractor. Here are the equivalents.

Irwin/Hanson - 3101010
Snap-on - EXDMS48
Matco - MEX48
Mac - 48SBEXS
Cornwell - ATC3101010

Matco and Mac may have discontinued theirs as those part numbers didn't come up on their sites. I should have referenced the 35 pc. set as all 5 companies do show a current identical offering. Of course the Irwin is in a blue case and the other 4 are in red cases.

They are the same exact kits. However, being that extractors are somewhat prone to breakage, it may be worth it to have the warranty peace of mind. Personally these are my favorite type of extractor. On a side note they work phenomenally on hex socket head screws that are rounded, beats trying to jam a torx head in.

I'm not sure if it's still active, but I just bought the REX25B set 3 weeks ago on promo for $102.

same exact. Irwin makes them for all the trucks. I have both sets. Over the years they have changed the grooves/splines from/to fine and coarse.
