Hello Guys,

Anybody could throw me a pointer, I have a blast cabinet and the glass window that sits in between the top acrylic glass layer and bottom protective film has become clouded to the point i cant see through the window into the cabinet, I believe this to be my own fault, for not having protective film on at all times,

I am looking for a replacement, I found this one on amazon Skat Blast Sandblast Cabinet Standard 12" x 24" Tempered Glass Cabinet Lens, Made in USA, 6101-00 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS9AIFW/?tag=atomicindus08-20) I believe it will work for my cabinet just want to make sure with somebody who has dealt with this and could confirm I would appreciate it!

I have attached a few diagrams of the operating manual for the cabinet, before anybody asks I did try with the manufacturer but they don't sell that part as a replacement... (Harbor Freight) go figure....

Thanks!

I have a similar TP cabinet that came with a plexi window, I switched to window glass when I bought it and never looked back. 12"x24" is my size also, window glass is maybe $2 at the hardware store and I keep an extra on hand. It lasts 5+ years before getting pitted or cracked. I made up aluminum angle drilled, common foam weatherstrip, and 1/4" screws to hold it in place. I know window glass is not the safest but it's never been a problem in several decades of use in at least 3 blast tanks I have owned, 2 were in a retail shop I had and used heavily. Even now doing personal resto work the blast tank is used every day. If you're fussier a glass shop can easily cut you tempered glass for a few dollars more.

PS While you're messing with it upgrade the lighting, it makes a world of difference. I'm tall so I extended the legs about 6" with 2x4s also, and vented it outside with a power vent. I have pics if you want them.

Hello Bruce,

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question, I will appreciate any pictures you can throw my way! I was also thinking of upgrading the lighting what did you upgrade to? I ended up buying tempered glass 12*24 from TP tools for about 35$ they seem to have a great stock, would you suggest weatherstrip foam to seal it in place? I'm not the most handy when it comes to this things, but any upgrades that can make the blasting experience better I welcome. I'am fairly new at it.

Thank you!

Somebody makes an upgrade kit for the HF cabinets, and that issue is addressed using cheaper glass panels. Search YouTube, it should come up. I wanna say they used single pane glass under plexi maybe?? Don't hold me to it. But it was something cheap to swap that was available at hd or lowes.
