I received my small toptul order today from Mike at Wren tools and i figured i would share some pics and information about my order. First off let me say that so far i am very pleased with the customer service i received from mike, From the start to the End i was very confident in Mikes ability to treat me as a first rate customer and Let me know exactly what i was gonna get, how much it was gonna cost me and When it was gonna arrive. All of these are vital in to me. I ordered the GBAT 0401, $37.09 which was a Internal/External Snap Ring plier set, Straight and 90 degrees, and a GAAF 1201, $61.56 Long Metric Wrench set ranging from 8mm to 19mm, I decided to go with the Chrome finish even though Mike had told me that Toptul was gonna eventually phase out the Chrome Line and handle the satin finish only. The Total non GJ discount was $98.65 after the 20% discount we ended up at $78.92 with $13.66 for UPS shipping with a Tracking number. Enclosed is some pics of my purchase. I have yet to put Tool to fastner yet but after inspecting the Tools the fit and finish is First rate. Thanks again Mike.

how do you like the snap ring pliers? Put them to use yet?

I am very happy with them, I rebuild hydraulic jacks when im not railroading and they are very solid. I have removed/installed roughly 100 snap rings and they are still going strong, Still no flex or broken tips. I prefer the individual internal/external pliers and for the price you cant go wrong. I only wish Toptul made the same plier configuration with smaller pins for the smaller snap rings, Snap rings below a 1 1/4" and i have to grab another pair account the pin size is too big.

Ive only used a couple of the wrenches but didnt have any problems the Grip feels nice and fit and finish of the wrenches seem first rate. Too be honest with you i have owned "1" Craftsman Ratchet and it was about 10 years ago and i was working on my truck and selector switch got bumped while i was tightening a Alternator bolt and My hand got the worst of that deal. Since then I have never even looked at one of there ratchets so i cant say whether the pins would fit.

I've got a question!! :hellobye:

Looking at your picture of the combination wrench, it looks like the beam intersects the middle of the box end rather than being flush on top like the extra long series; is that the case?

If you don't understand the question, let me know, because I'm EXTREMELY curious about this. :)

Im not sure if im following you but the box end isnt flush, as in when you lay it down it doesnt lay flat either way you flip it, Ocording to the Catalog it has a 15 degree offset. My wrench set is the long series not the extra long. Hope that helps.

The standard wrench's box end is the same as the extra long. Judging from the pictures from Mike's site, it seems like all non-midget combination wrenches have the same box end design.
