finally after waiting my turn in line and going back and forth with my builder we set a date (9/8) and we will begin

so friday comes and the delivery truck that was supposed to be delivering materials breaks down about 50 miles from my house. so long story short we reschedule for monday.

monday comes along and there she is

also meant to say that we changed plans of doing 2 doors, and now we are doing 3. 2 16x10 on the south side and 1 12x10 on the front. also added 3 3x3 windows on the north side of the building.

if anyone has any recommendations/tips/pointers i'd appreciate hearing them!

my 4 post lift will be (off center) in front of the left 16' door, and i will be able to back my 32' enclosed into the right 16' door if i need to. my 2 post lift will kinda be in the back corner.

my wife wanted the front 12' door and she paid for it so she could have it haha. the patio will be in front of that door.

Your shop will be awesome. Question, why do some shops get slabs poured first, while some come in after structure is finished. From what I have seen looks like something to do with pole barn construction. Thx Mark

contractor told me that since i had to pull a permit, the frame has to be approved before the slab was poured.

rained here all weekend here, so no progress other than that i moved a bunch of dirt around and made a mess.

Probably a dumb question, but how does he get the trusses up there? The tractor doesn't look like it has nearly enough reach.

I wondered the same, he Oklahoma-engineered this rig to hang them. i went home at lunch to meet the plumber and caught him hanging some.

Now would be the time to consider a time lapse using an old Droid phone set for few pics a day or every minute and then edit.
I always forget to do it.

iphone only house hold :)

i tried a go pro on the first day, doing timed interval photos, but it died after about 4 hours and i gave up lol.

Looking good. I am a little confused about the 12' sidewall thing. The bendpak you are purchasing says "This car lift is truly something to get excited about. If your shop has the overhead clearance—at least 13’"

Is there an advantage to getting this lift seeing as you only have 12' of overhead?

there are 2 spaces where we did truss spacing every 10' instead of every 5'. they two lifts will be in those spaces.

Nice. I am assuming you saved money with a lower overall height and still got your lift clearance. Very smart
