Snap On Wrench VS Toptul Wrench You Decide!

I would want the snap on. Why because of the vast amount of dealers nation wide that can take care of my warranty, there are only a handful of guys selling toptul.

Precisely why I may put up my snap on wrenches for sale. I dont use them to their limits and my craftsman set does fine for what I do nowadays.

If you have them why buy another set to replace these? Unless you are hurting for some cash but you will not make out like you think!!
I'll definitely be selling them at a lost, but it'll be an even bigger loss if I dont use them at all!
Having heard all these great reviews on Toptul so far, I'd be willing to give these a try. I really dont like how the craftsman feel in my hand. Not to mention, Toptul is cheap enough that I wouldn't feel guilty about lending my tools to other people.

No offense, but honestly, anyone seriously debating between Snap-on and Toptul should just stick to a mid-tier brand such as Craftsman.

I would disagree with you. The majority of Techs that swings wrenches for a living knows the quality of Craftsman tools keeps getting worse year after year. Thats why the nick name is CRAPSMAN.

This doesn't make much sense to me. If your not going to use your Snap on's then why buy more wrenches? Unless your lucky you will probably get around 50% for you Snap on, especially if you ebay them because of the additional fees.
You then have to buy the new Toptuls. A used 10-19mm Snap on set on ebay goes for around $130 then you have to buy the Toptuls which are around $50 or so shipped? You may net $80 or so dollars but it may not be worth it.
If you really need the money then go for it but otherwise you are giving up a time tested wrench with known warranty service for something that is, for the most part, unknown.
Nothing against Mike, but if he decided he had to leave the business then how many Toptul dealers are there?

JUST Fyi,
Toptul did NOT want those pics on my website. And it's true that in the real world you wouldn't be applying the torque in this way to get these wrenches to fail.
The reason that they wanted these pics pulled from the website is that a company shows poor form when they take a competitors wrench and break it and then say their own wrench broke after more torque or in a "better" way.
There is nothing wrong with Snap-On quality and I don't think there ever will be for the most part. Toptul is always striving to get the point across that their wrenches are built to fail at levels 60% above the industry accepted DIN settings for failure and also that their tools are manufactured to the same ISO 9001 standards as other quality tool brands.
I guess I just wanted to be clear with that pic being posted that you'll never hear me knock the quality of Snap-On or any other truck brand.....I know they're damn good tools.
Toptul is simply just another option available that some will like and want and others won't like and won't want.

I'm just replacing the Snap ons. All I do nowadays is basic maintenance and I'm probably going to toss the craftsman too. I dont mine 'downgrading' to Toptul because I know I wont ever need to apply more than 30ftlbs of torque on the wrenches so they'll do fine for me. I'm only buying the individual wrenches that I need so it may cost way below $50 for me. But like I said previously..I rather loan out Toptul wrenches than Snapon to my friends.

True, but a tech that swings wrenches for a living needs the quality, but most of all the service that comes with the purchase of truck branded tools.
It is offering that service that keeps S-O, Mac, Matco, and others in business and pro mechs buying their tools.
As long as you know what you're getting, Craftsman still makes damn decent tools. But if one should hesitate to take a risk with a tool, that's why Craftsman has a satisfaction guarantee policy.

Id take craftsman pro wrenches over these toptuls any day. they look better plus theres a sears everywhere in case you need to warranty them

I bought this rebadged toptul wrench set in the late 90s. I liked them because they were similar to SO and well made and finished and at 1/10 the price of Snap-on they wre like a gift
. They were my first non US wrench set and really they worked and used as often as my US wrenches and without complaint. Top quality and nice looks though they don,t feel comfortable in the hand but even so. I bought another set and kept it for future use.

It is a Taiwanese thing. All the local manufacturers use kg-f-m, even though no buyers in the U.S., Europe, or anywhere else use it.

Autoguy, what leads you to conclude that the Ace Hardware wrenches you have are rebadged Toptul? I've never heard of anything of this subject and wanted to clarify as to whether what you said was fact or opinion.
