It's ruined now it's straight up garbage even if my father did that he'd spend a night or 2 in jail and be getting sued that's ridiculous he must have really made him mad.

Dad must have been locked in a garage with that tool box and a hammer for a couple of days. A person would wear themself out doing that much damage.

Got three, that level of destruction only teaches the lesson that dad needs to be put on meds cause he's completely irrational and out of control. Agree with the person who said they'd call the police, I'd call in a mental health arrest and have him shipped to the hospital for an evaluation.

Ok let's say one of your kids broke into your house, stole all your family heirlooms and pawned them to buy the box.

Don't scoff, I've seen it happen and not for a tool box.

Wrecking the box wouldn't get family heirlooms back and it wouldn't teach his idiot kids a lesson either.
Just demonstrates dad is a violent douche .

x2, that took some serious effort. Something doesn't add up here. Most definitely not the price of that orange pile of scrap metal.

I don't think "Dad" did that. Looks to be the work of a pissed off girlfriend or wife. The damage is too extensive....overkill. That damage was done with vengeance and passion not just anger...

Or a wife. Because she heard how much it cost and the kids have worn out shoes and the utilities got shut off that one time for non-payment.

And she can't figure out why the family car needs brakes and she has to add water every other day when there's a mechanic in the house.

LOL, this might hit home for a few people. :moon:

I also have my doubts about that being done with a hammer. Those holes on the front left drawer don't look like they were done by the factory or with a hammer.

200 bucks smh, must be from around my area.

Here is my useless, trashed, orange metal box up for sale, they go for about 4 k new so its a steal at 200 bucks, will consider trades for crack or meth

junk....

I bought a car the same way, sorta. 77MGB, was really nice, new tires, ran good, nice interior. $500.

ex wife took a shovel to it and smashed in the windshield and every panel on the car...looked pretty bad but I parted it out and made $2k profit...doubt that toolbox will have as good a fate...

The rectangular holes look like a bricklayer's hammer. Others looks like a small sledge and then some look like an autobody hammer.

Anybody do that much with a hammer better be in shape. I'm more inclined to believe a few guys with multiple hammers and an insurance check.

Seeing the condition of that box makes me think of this as a possible cause as others have mentioned:
