It is not very often that I ask for help but today I am asking for help from my fellow Garage Journal members in supporting a company that still makes hand tools in the USA.

This is my third post about the Port Austin Level & tool Company and we as members need to buy their tools and keep them going strong or before you know it another great tool company might end up going the way of the dodo bird. I do not want to see that happen, we have enough China made junk already and this is a company that makes very high quality American made products that I am very proud to own.

I am writing this post because as it just so happens a very nice office Manager wrote me a wonderful pm via the GJ thanking me for the older post stories; her name is Jennifer Upthegrove (1-800-835-1798).

I will give a link to this American made Company and show a few pictures of the level that I own.

So please for this X-mas and the upcoming year, give them a look see and if you like what you are seeing please take the time and buy one of their great products and help support an American company in the process.

Thank you.

I couldn't find any accuracy specs on their website...seems as though that would be common information to post for levels.

toddoky Hi, you bring up a good point, I bet if you call and speak to Jennifer, (see phone # above) she can look into your question at hand.

I sent her the post so maybe she can get back to this post and help you out also.

Woody:)

Sounds good, I'm sure the information would benefit anyone who comes across this thread who's in the market for a level. That has to be a tough market to be in these days with all the high quality options that are available at competitive prices. I do appreciate their nostalgic appearance, so if their accuracy is competitive with the likes of Stabila and Sola, I will give them some consideration during my next need to purchase a level
